What modules are recommended for my site?

This is a very subjective topic and will likely offend some people. While I’ll try to provide my fair input for each of the recommended DotNetNuke modules, I can’t possibly know all your requirements for a module... Inside is a list of great modules and where to get them.

What modules are recommended for my site?

This is a very subjective topic and will likely offend some people. While I’ll try to provide my fair input for each of the recommended DotNetNuke modules, I can’t possibly know all your requirements for a module. This article will link heavily to many module sites and if any of the module’s authors would like to be removed, just ask. I am not accepting any form of payment for inclusion in this list or future lists. I will be happy to evaluate your module as time allows. Although this article will not be a module evaluation or review, future articles will be. Module writers offering modules to the community for free are highly recommended to send me links and descriptions of their work since most of my articles about modules will be based on free modules.

The rest of this ‘article’ will be a listing of modules that meet a certain need. This list may be changed to a table later.

E-Commerce

SDN Store

A good set of features for a free ecom module. 2 bad things about this module though. 1. You can’t use friendly urls on your site. 2. You have to preregister every domain you intend to use it with. I list it because free ecom is rare for DNN

That’s the end of the list. There are many other modules out there. Please go to www.cathal.co.uk for more free modules. And go to www.snowcovered.com for paid modules. I tried to list modules that meet some need. I am using most of the modules above on my sites now.  And I am using some modules but I didn’t want to list for one reason or another.

Thank You,

John
